An interesting turn of events has occurred in D4vd’s ongoing murder case.

Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter have stepped down from representing the singer, according to reports.

“This morning the court granted our request to withdraw as counsel and appointed the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, after it was determined David qualified for appointed counsel.”

The attorneys also confirmed that D4vd will be represented by the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office moving forward.

“We continue to support David and his defense against these serious charges. We are grateful that the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office has taken over the representation and that David has a highly capable and committed team of attorneys and investigators behind him.”

According to TMZ, D4vd can no longer financially afford private representation and will now move forward with a public defender. The development comes as the singer faces charges in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

D4vd has pleaded not guilty to the charges and continues to maintain his innocence as his case moves forward.

With new counsel now taking over, the next phase of D4vd’s legal battle will unfold under the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office.
